The OTP box is waiting, the resend timer is counting down, and your phone is silent. It’s maddening — but in almost every case the problem is on the phone side and takes a minute to fix.
1. Check the number, digit by digit
Ten digits, no +91, no leading 0. One swapped digit and the code goes to someone else. For login, it must be the number you registered with.
2. Which SIM gets SMS?
On dual-SIM phones the default SMS SIM may differ from the one registered with DmWin. Check both inboxes.
3. Open the spam folder
Many SMS apps file OTPs as spam. Look under Spam & blocked, and mark the message as not spam.
4. DND settings
Full DND can delay transactional messages. Switching to partial DND (promotions only) usually helps.
5. Respect the cooldown
Five resends in a row can trigger a temporary block. Wait for the full timer, try once, and if needed wait ten minutes before the next attempt.
6. Signal and a restart
Basements and lifts kill SMS. Toggle airplane mode or restart the phone, then request again.
7. Still nothing? Contact support
Message DmWin customer care with your registered number and a screenshot of the screen. Never share a password.
Avoid it next time
- Install the app so you stay logged in.
- Keep the registered SIM active — it’s your recovery key.
- Save your password in a password manager.
Why OTPs get delayed at all
OTPs travel through SMS gateways that handle millions of messages. During busy hours, festivals or network maintenance, messages can queue for a minute or two. That’s why waiting the full timer works better than tapping resend repeatedly — every resend joins the back of the queue.
